Xbox One outsells PS4 in the US for the third month in a row

Good news to the Xbox community, the Xbox One reportedly outsold the PlayStation 4 (and every other console) in September 2016 in the United States, according to NPD data. As Xbox Games Marketing Head Aaron Greenberg said on Twitter, this is the first time the Xbox One has been the #1 console in the US for three straight months.

Xbox marketing head, Mike Nichols, pointed out that release of the PS4 Slim didn’t help PS4 sales grow year-over-year across the US, UK, Australia, and other countries, therefore added to the growing number of sales for the Xbox One. Forza Horizon 3 was the best-selling first-party game, which was to be expected considering there were no other major launches from Sony or Nintendo for it to compete with. That qualification is mentioned by Microsoft likely because NBA 2K17, at the very least, outsold it.
