With Windows Phone 8.1 lurking just around the corner, there are rumors coming from the popular Twitter leaker @evleaks about possible successors to some of our favorite Lumia smartphones. So far, we have Moneypenny (Lumia 630), with single and dual-SIM variants, and Martini (Lumia 930), which is expected to have a 20MP PureView camera. We’re adding another one to the list, as @evleaks posted a new codename: Nokia Rock, also known as Lumia 530!
In the Lumia smartphone line (both WP7 and WP8), the handsets in the 5xx series are considered as the most affordable phones. We have Lumia 505 and 510 in WP7, and for WP8, we are familiar with the Lumia 520, 521, and 525. Out of all Lumia phones and WP8 devices, the Lumia 520 is known to be the bestselling smartphone because of its good design, affordable price range, and the number of features and services it offer to users. Are we expecting the same with the Lumia 530? Since it will running on WP8.1, we expect that this smartphone will be given upgraded specs way above its ancestors, including higher RAM and PureView camera if possible. I’m sure the Lumia 530 will be a hit if given the right features.
Nokia Rock = Lumia 530.

The mystery will be what branding will be used for Lumia 530: Microsoft or Nokia? The acquisition deal is expected to close sometime next quarter, but with problems still occurring in China and India, there could be delays. For us, we hope for a last batch of Nokia Lumias before the Finnish company bids farewell to the mobile phone industry.
