Oh Nokia, you never fail to amuse us – especially when it comes to promoting your smartphone line while giving a hard blow to a rival at the same time. There had been numerous occasions where the Finnish mobile giant grabs the opportunity to attack whenever a competitor makes a mistake. And this time, they did it again – during The Oscars!

Look at the blurry parts! Not Acceptable!

You see, Samsung is a big sponsor of the prestigious event, formally known as the Academy Awards. Of course, part of this sponsorship is the appearance of their smartphones. Popular talk show host Ellen DeGeneres had one sponsored device that night – the Galaxy Note 3 – which she used to take a group selfie with famous stars like Jennifer Lawrence, Brad Pitt, and Channing Tatum, and at another time, her own selfie. Problem was, the photos were somehow ruined because of being blurry. Too bad Ellen doesn’t have one of the Lumia 1520s she gave away in one episode of her show. Nokia US had seen the mess that the Samsung phone had made, and had responded to the photos with the tweet below (photo attached to this tweet is included in cover photo):

Trust Nokia to have a sharp eye and see how they can turn the tides and criticize rivals for their products. And while they still use other brands just because they don’t want to try something new and unique, Nokia fans knew better than stick with crappy smartphones. Why suffer and ruin important moments when you can have them shot in high-quality with any of the PureView Lumias we have today: 920, 925, 928, 1020, 1520, and Icon. So many options to choose from, depending on your style and taste, so why settle for something less? When it comes to mobile phone imaging, Nokia Lumia is the best choice there is!
