HMD Global is set to launch the Nokia 8 in the Philippines tomorrow, but before the official launch, we got the chance to get a hold of the company’s first ever flagship device. So here are the initial impression of the newest Nokia phone.

The Nokia 8 features a 5.3 inch Quad HD IPS LCD display that boasts with a higher 554ppi pixel density, giving the user a superb viewing experience, btw in this phone the double tap to wake and glance screen feature are back.

The Nokia 8 is also IP54 certified making it dust and splash resistant this feature added to the premium build quality of the Nokia 8 that features a Uni body aluminum chassis that fits perfectly in the hand and will give the users the premium feels right away as soon as they get a hold of the device.

The much talked about 13 megapixel camera with Zeiss optics comes in three, the first one is best for selfies and the two were placed at the back. The Dual 13 Megapixel Camera features an RGB Camera and a Black and White one that takes the best photos and videos that is assisted by the perfect audio software the “Özo” that gets to record rich audio quality in 360 degrees.

Another camera feature that is making noise is the Bothie experience, basically it’s like having a video call it’s just that the person you’re talking to is right in front of you. The Bothie is best for Vloggers and bloggers for interviews.

On top of the device is where the 3.5 mm audio jack is located, right down the display is where the two capacitive buttons are placed sandwiching the fingerprint scanner, at the bottom of the device is where the Nokia Özo speaker is located and also the USB Type C port, on the left side of the device is where the Sim Tray is located and on the right side are the volume rocker and lock button is housed.

The retail package of the Nokia 8 contains an In Ear Headset, USB Type C Cable, The typical Brick Charger of Nokia, Sim Ejector Tool, and the Manuals.
