The Nokia 6.1 Plus and 5.1 Plus are the next wave of smartphones to watch out for.

The notch is the new black! This craze has started with the iPhone X and followed by other brands including Asus, Vivo and Oppo. Keeping the hype, HMD has also launched its own version of the notch type phone in China called the Nokia X6. And as global demand for a notch type Nokia phone grows every day, fans are hopeful that HMD announces the release of the Nokia 5.1 Plus and the Nokia 6.1 Plus.

We have posted the first leaked appearance of the Nokia 5.1 Plus with a notch last month. It sports a Mediatek Helio P60 chipset, 5.86 HD display, 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.

The Nokia 5.1 Plus looks similar to the Nokia X5 (which will be launched in China this month) but with a wider notch.

It even makes more sense because Nokia X5 will be launching in China this month and it looks exactly as Nokia 5.1 Plus. Below are the specs of the 5.1 Plus that we’ve got so far.

Since the introduction of the notch, a majority of us clamors for the same smartphone design from Nokia. And they sure did not disappoint as we were given not just one but two of its kind. This move from HMD only shows that the company is dedicated to keep up with consumer’s demand. This also helps the brand to become more compelling and relevant to the market.
