The Nokia 5.1 Plus has been one of the most talked about rumor in the web. This device is touted to be the global version of the Nokia X6 which is exclusive to China. The fans went crazy when the Nokia X6 was announced because of its elegant notch design. This device has earned a huge amount of interest across social media and the web. In fact, Juho Sarvikas, HMD Chief Product Officer, ran a poll on Twitter and received 92% of votes in favor of bringing the X6 to other markets.
Based on a reliable source, the global variant of the Nokia X6 is on its way under the code name ‘Panda’.
This device is positioned as a mid-range smartphone between the price points of Nokia 5.1 to and Nokia 6.1. In contrary to other sources, Panda will be powered by Mediatek Helio P60 (MT6771) chipset and not P20. It is configured with a 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. It’s dimension is 149.5 x 71.9 x 8mm with a 5.86 HD display with a notch and 2.5D Gorilla glass. Interestingly, the notch of this device is wider than the X6.
In terms of its imaging, we have yet to find out whether it will carry the Zeiss branding or not. But we may expect for some features such as Dual Sight or Bothie built-in on this phone. However, these specs remain unofficial. So stay tuned for more updates on the Nokia 5.1 Plus.
