Nokia 5.1 Plus and 6.1 Plus will hit the shelves soon!

This year has been an exciting year for Nokia fans. In Q2, HMD has unveiled five new devices namely Nokia 8110 4G, Nokia 1, Nokia 6.1, Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco. These devices are out in the market since April and gained positive feedback from customers.

nokia 5.1 plusIn Q3, new devices were announced as the successors to the first wave of Nokia smartphones. The Nokia 2.1, 3.1 and 5.1 will be hitting the shelves this July. The 5.1 and 3.1 will be launched with Android One and sports an 18:9 resolution. The Nokia 2.1 will have the Android Go platform, 2-day battery life and an upgraded chipset.

Nokia 5.1 Plus and 6.1 Plus availability and pricing

Nokia 6.1 Plus will have identical specs and design as the Nokia X6 (exclusive in China). The 6.1 Plus is expected to arrive with a 5.84-inch notched display that carries a Full HD+ resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. The chipset that powers this device is a Snapdragon 636 with a 4GB/6GB RAM. There’s also a selfie camera of 16-megapixel and its rear panel is equipped with 16-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera setup. It receives power from 3,060mAh battery.

Nokia 5.1 Plus will have identical specs and design as the Nokia X5 (exclusive in China). It is expected to arrive with a 5.86-inch notched display with a resolution similar to the 6.1 Plus. This phone is powered by Mediatek Helio P60 chipset and 3GB RAM. However, some markets may receive a 4GB and 6GB variants of this phone. There’s also selfie camera of 8-megapixel and its rear panel is equipped with 13-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera.

The new Nokia 5.1 Plus and Nokia 6.1 Plus will hit stores in Asia this August, while availability on specific countries will be announced shortly thereafter.

Based on the pricing of its China release, the 6.1 Plus starts at 1,299 Yuan (195$) while the 5.1 Plus starts at 799 Yuan (120$). HMD Global is known for selling its phones with affordable pricing in China. Hence, international markets are expected to receive it with slightly higher price tag.
