HMD has announced new Nokia smartphones this quarter as an update to its first wave of devices. The Nokia 2.1 and Nokia 3.1 has begun rolling out in global markets including Vietnam, Bangladesh, Pakistan and India. However, some markets won’t cater the Nokia 5.1 to pave way for the Nokia X5 (Nokia 5.1 Plus) global release.
Nokia 2.1 specs
The Nokia 2.1 combines a 5.5-inch HD screen and dual front-facing stereo speakers with a 4,000mAh battery that will last two days. It runs on a very lightweight operating system named Android Oreo Go edition. You can also take decent photos with its 8MP rear (with flash) and 5MP front camera. In terms of performance, this phone has a quad-core Snapdragon 425 and 1GB RAM which is more than enough for Android Go. Other specs include USB OTG, LTE, Bluetooth, FM Radio and Gorilla Glass protection.
Nokia 3.1 specs
The Nokia 3.1 runs on Android One that offers two years of OS upgrade and 3 years of security updates. It has an octa-core MediaTek 6750 chipset and features an upgraded 13MP auto-focus rear (with flash) camera and 8MP selfie camera. It also has a quite bigger screen, this time with 5.2-inch HD+ with 18:9 resolution. Other specs include USB OTG, LTE, Bluetooth, 2990 mAh battery and Gorilla Glass protection.
