It’s really great that Microsoft had transformed the native Calendar app into a Store app. The current interface of the Calendar app is much better now compared to its earlier version – I particularly love the ability to change the way the dates are viewed. Being a Store app also allows improvements to be introduced easier via updates, such as the latest one that was published for Calendar today.

Version 1.0.15087.0 for Calendar listed the following changes:

  • Agenda view – Know your schedule at a quick glance. See a concise list of sequential events for the day or the week.
  • Calendar World Readiness – Show the week number for day, week, or month. Set the first day of the year by: January 1, first 4-day week, or first full week. Set which day to be the first day of the week.

With Windows 10 coming soon, expect more surprises for Calendar as it will become a universal app in the next couple of months. But for now, grab the latest version of Calendar and be updated with your schedule straight from your Lumia.
