Android 9 Pie was officially released by Google a few days ago. Now available for Google’s Pixel devices, Android 9 Pie brings a lot of new features and changes to the OS. As promised by Google, Android One devices will get the OS update in fall. Nokia users are eagerly waiting for this update, as HMD Global promised that all Nokia devices will get Android 9 Pie.

The Nokia 7 Plus is likely the first to receive the Android Pie update. As it’s also the first device to beta test the OS update too. Yesterday, HMD Global CPO Juho Sarvikas tweeted that the final Android 9 Pie beta build was pushed to the device. He said that it’s the last chance to help them perfect the OS update before releasing the final build. If you’re a beta tester of Android 9 Pie on your Nokia 7 Plus, be sure to send them feedback to help HMD fix bugs before the update goes live.

If you wanna take the risk of using a beta OS on your device, you can follow the instructions here on how to install it on your Nokia 7 Plus. But it’s better to stay away from using beta software if your device is your daily driver especially if you’re not into the technical side of things. You can wait for the official release once the beta testing stage is done.
