We know this sounds absurd for the Lumia 520 compete against the iPhone 5 on this camera shoot out test – low-end vs high-end smartphone. And most of you will thought that its a sure win for the iPhone 5 since it has an 8-megapixel iSight camera while the 520 has a non Carl Zeiss 5-megapixel camera. But let’s see if the Lumia 520 can withstand this test.

Good news for Lumia users running on Windows Phone 8, GDR2 update is coming very soon!
Telstra has posted the upcoming handset updates on their support site section. There are couple of handsets posted in there, both Android and Windows Phone. Surprisingly, it shows that the Lumia 920 and 520 will get the update first and its currently on “Waiting for initial vendor submission” status. The expected date of approval is on July 15 so once its approved, then its just a matter of days when it will be deployed to user’s handsets.
Another rumor has recently come out that Nokia is cooking for a more affordable version of the Lumia 920. This is aimed to compete against the lower end iPhones or even the other Android phones. This will be released at the same time with the rumored Nokia phablet sometime in September or October. For all we know that the Lumia 720 is the lite version of the Lumia 920 but there’s no stopping Nokia for giving us something new.
