Nokia has launched two high end smartphones last year in the U.S., the Lumia 820 and 920. It has gained traction in the U.S and other parts of the world but still there are more people who can’t afford expensive phones at the moment. Thus, the market is not all about high-end specs and expensive smartphones. This is the opportunity that Nokia wants to achieve. Approaching the low-mid range smartphone market will help them gain more share in the market. They have done this with the Lumia 510 but the competition on this price segment is quite tough knowing that there are cheap Android smartphones that people can get with better specs.
